Join Indian Coast Guard as an officer:-

For Being officer in Indian Coast Guard you have to appear for the Assistant Commandant Examination one should be fulfilling of the following eligibility criterion-

Educational Qualifications:-

• For General Duty- Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks; Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XIIth of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent.
• Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL) (SSA) – Candidates holding current /valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued/ validated by Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
• Technical (Engineering & Electrical) – Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or Should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in any of the disciplines listed below with 60% marks.
• Law – A degree in Law with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.

Join Indian Coast Guard as Non-Officers:-

For joining as a non-officer you may appear in many examinations according to your educational qualifications. You can join as-

• Sailors
• Yantriks

For Joining Coast Guard as and non-officer rank you can appear in Navik GD Examination and for this examination, you have to the following Eligibility criteria.

For Yantriks:-

Education Qualification:- Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by AICTE.

Age Limit of Yantriks:- Minimum Age- 18 Year and Maximum Age-22 Year

For Sailors:-

For Sailors being sailor in Indian Coast Guard you have to appear in Navik GD 10+2 Entry examinations-

Education Qualification:-

Candidates should have 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Central/ State Government with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Age Limits:- Minimum Age- 18 Year and Maximum Age-22 Year

If anyone wanted to join Indian Coast Guard after 10th Pass then they can apply for Navik DB (Domestic Branch)

Education Qualification for Navik DB:-

Candidates should have 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central/State Government.

Age Limits:- Minimum Age- 18 Year and Maximum Age-22 Year
