DECK CADET / TRAINEE NAVIGATING OFFICER.

ENGINE CADET / TRAINEE MARINE ENGINEER.

JOINING AS DECK CADET AFTER FOLLOWING COURSES.

1.

DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science)

2.

BNS (Bachelor in Nautical Science)

1.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for DNS :

A.

10+2 passed with 60% aggregate marks in PCM.

B.

http://B.Sc (http://b.sc/) or B.E/B.Tech with 55% marks or Diploma Science with 60% marks.

C.

Minimum 50% marks in English at 10+2 or 10th level is a must.

D.

Age not exceeding 25 years on the date of commencement of training.(5 Years relaxation for SC/ST candidates).

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

A.

Qualify IMU – CET online test (June & December every year).

B.

Qualify sponsorship test (Written, Personal interview & Psychometric) of Shipping Company.

COURSE STRUCTURE

A.

Pre Sea Training of 12 Months(It means 12 months training in DG approved colleges).

B.

On board Training of 18 months (It means 18 months training on ships and during training period ,Cadet will get stipend of USD 400-800 Per Month)

COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE:

In month of February and August every Year.

SPONSORSHIP REQUIREMENT:

This is fully sponsored course for the onboard training.

JOINING AS ENGINE CADET AFTER FOLLOWING COURSE

B.TECH/B.E MARINE ENGINEERING.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for B.Tech in Marine Engineering:

A.

10+2 passed with 60% aggregate marks in PCM.

B.

Minimum 50% marks in English at 10+2 or 10th level is a must.

C.

Age not exceeding 25 years on the date of commencement of training.(5 Years relaxation for SC/ST candidates).

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

A.

Qualify IMU – CET ( June every year).

B.

Attend Counselling and choose the institute.

COURSE STRUCTURE

A.

Pre Sea Training of 4 Years(It means 4 years training in DG approved colleges).

B .On board Training of 6 to 9 months (It means 6 to 9 months training on ships and during training period , engine Cadet will get stipend of USD 400-600 Per Month)

COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE:

In month of August Year.

SPONSORSHIP REQUIREMENT:

B.Tech in Marine Engineering course is normally non sponsored and shipping companies visits campus of the institute for placement of Engine Cadets.

MEDICAL FITNESS :

Eye vision (unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye with no color blindness.
