After completing your Graduation, You can apply for Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC for CAPF (Central Armed Police Force), Civil Services Examination(CSE), Assistant Central Intelligence Office (ACIO) etc.. The candidates who clear Civil Services Examination, conducted by Union Public Service Commission are given an opportunity by R&AW to join, this is done at training institutes of various services like Indian Revenue Service-IT (IRS) , Indian Postal Services (IPoS) etc.

The Officers from Para Military, Army, Navy, Airforce, Central Armed Police Forces and from State Police Forces are taken on deputation, initially for a period of three years.
