You have to attend both the shifts .JEE Advanced paper is divided into two papers:-Paper 1& Paper 2 and both of them have the same syllabus .No ,it isn't compulsory to attend both the shifts else you will only get marks for one paper that you have attempted and your chances of getting a good colleges will reduce by much .
