Hello Aspirant,

For doing PhD in any discipline one needs to go through multiple processes.

Earlier it was required that a person needs to have a master's degree before applying for PhD, but now according to the new UGC guidelines a person with a four-year bachelor's degree can also apply for a PhD.

There are multiple national level exams like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET etc for getting enrolled in PhD programs and you can take them according to your subject specific.

Apart from this most of the university take their own PhD entrance and one can take that route too.

There is no specific instruction for political science, you can take any of the route mentioned above.

Hope this helps!

All the best!
