For preparing verbal ability section you should start reading lots of good books written by good authors like Charles Dickens, Agastha Christie, Paulo Coelho, Sydney Sheldon etc. and various good newspapers like Hindu which will help you in improving your overall English. Along with this start practising the different types of questions asked in exam like editing, jumbling, paragraph formation, odd one out, finding grammar mistake etc. You can refer books like Arun Sharma which is pretty good for both quantitative and verbal ability section.

For improving your vocabulary you should start memorizing 5 new words daily with their meaning and correct pronounciation and use them in your daily conversations so that you can memorize them properly.

For Reading Comprehension section you should start reading passages and understand the thought process of author and tone in which he is expressing his view. Also try to find out to whom the author is really targeting and what is his actual message. Many a times the passage on question paper does not show actual message, you need to either predict it out through inference or frame it according the facts. If you are able to do all this then you would be able to solve most of the questions asked below the passage. Remember one of the question asked has a direct answer so you need a lot of practice.

Verbal Ability section is  different then quantitative ability section. Here only with practice you cannot have make yourself strong. To have a command on this you need to have a solid hold on language, basic of English literature and Grammar.

Give lot of time in reading and follow the steps as I told you above you will definitely start seeing the improvement in yourself.

All the best for your preparations!!

For English it's mostly about practice and knowing what kind of questions to expect. You need to practice as much as you can. There is a book by Arun Sharma on verbal ability available on Amazon or Flipkart that you can get for practice. The more you practice the better you will get. It will increase your reading speed also which is very necessary for these exams. Moreover try developing the habit to read news articles or books or any magazine. You can try installing business news apps like economic times or business insider. This way you can improve your vocabulary too.
