Exam is not that much tough you just need to focus on your grammatical skills, keyworks , definitions etc. There is no such refernce book for this exam, so you can follow any book which you find useful, kindly note that it must follow the UGC Syllabus which will help you in your preparation.

Also, after the completion of the syllabus , do revision once or twice and then you can try onto some previous years paper by solving them honestly and this will help you in time management also. You can follow (optional) any of the follwing books:
