Hello,

First of all for preparing organic chemistry, start with the NCERT. NCERT is very helpful in solving the doubts and clearing the basic concepts. At very starting, understand the basic concepts of organic chemistry. Then sincerely study and understand  the mechanisms of reactions mentioned in the NCERT. Once you master the reactions, then refer the reference books of any renowned author. The reference books will help you to build your confidence and command over the reactions.

The Organic Chemistry requires frequent reading and revision. So, make sure that you revise the learned reactions at a specific intervals. You need to study daily in order to get your command over organic. About the theory portion, then just read the theory portion once and get it understood. Generally, 2-3 questions come directly from the theory.

I am mentioning some books that you can use as reference books :

  • O. P. Tandon Organic Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry by Paula Bruice Yurkanis
  • Organic Chemistry by M.S. Chauhan

Best Wishes.
