Your focus should always be on targeting 99percentile and IIMs such that in worst case scenario you end up with minimum 90. The best you visualize, the best you shall get, so aim high and work harder to achieve it. Most important is practice which brings accuracy. Although, You wont get accuracy by leaving questions, try to solve all problems initially and where you go wrong solve such questions more to make your weaknesses redundant, once you do that your confidence will boost miles away. Secondly, give maximum mock tests and make sure you dont repeat same mistakes again. once you're done with that you can then choose and select certain questions in final CAT exam to score great percentile wiyhin less amount of time for maximum accuracy. All the best for future endeavors.

First of all why are you focusing on scoring such a low percentile. Remember it is percentile not percentage. With 60 percentile it will be very hard for you to find any good college.

There are no fixed marks to score any percentile because it is all relative and keeps on varying each and every year. To score 60 percentile if you score above 70 marks then it will be sufficient for you to get above 60 percentile.

I still recommend to work harder and aim for a high percentile because 60 percentile is not at all fruitfull.

If you are giving CAT exam this year then very less time is left so you need to brush up on your basics and start giving lots of online mock test which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile. It will also help you in knowing your strength and weakness which will help you in attempting easy questions first and then other questions so as to reduce the chance of errors and missing an easy question which will ultimately increase your marks.
