Hello aspirant,

The process of admission to NID for M.Des., B.Des. and GDPD programmes consists of two stages.

Stage 1: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims and Stage 2: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains.

The objective of the admission process is to seek evidence of the perception, attitude, aptitude, achievement and motivation essential in a potential design student.

Based on the scores obtained in DAT Prelims (Stage 1), candidates will be shortlisted and called for the DAT Mains (Stage 2). The final merit list will be generated, based on the sum total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidate in each stage of the admissions process.

Please refer to the Admissions Handbook 2019-20 (B.Des. & M.Des.) available online at http://admissions.nid.edu.

NID has three institutes of design namely NID Gandhinagar, NID Bangalore and NID Ahmedabad.

You can visit the official website for more information on campus preference http://www.nid.edu/

Good luck!
