To take GATE mock tests, first choose a reliable source like GATE official portal, NPTEL, Made Easy, or ACE Engineering. Sign up or register online to access the full-length tests. Simulate the actual 3-hour exam with proper timing and no distractions. Attempt complete tests to practice time management and exam strategy. After each test, analyze your performance to identify weak areas and revise. Regularly taking 1–2 mocks per week helps improve speed, accuracy, and confidence.

Hello,

The official GATE 2026 mock test will be released on the GATE website by the conducting IIT, most likely in November 2025 . You can take it by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official GATE 2026 website (https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/mock-test-links.html) .

  2. Click on the Mock Test/Practice Test link.

  3. Select your subject paper.

  4. Log in (if required) and start the test.

The mock test will have the same exam interface, on-screen calculator, and time limit as the actual exam. It helps you understand the exam pattern, practise time management, and get used to the computer-based test system.

Hope it helps !
