See there is no way to decide or plainly say that this branch is tough for these many reason as many found it really interesting and build a career in it. it totally comes down to your preferences. If you have inclination towards it then you should definitely opt for it. The placement scenario for ECE pretty much depends on the campus placement until you have done something extra. So it does matter how reputed the college is.
