You may apply for ews if you meet the qualifying requirements, which include being a ‘general' candidate (not  under reservation for SC, ST / OBC).

Your family's annual gross income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs. This covers all sources of revenue for the fiscal year before to applying for the exam, such as agriculture, salary, company, and so on.A residential flat of 1000 square feet or greater should not be owned by your family.
