Dear Aspirant,

See this happens with most of the students.Now the thing is formula based questions are mostly in physics and mathematics.

Try to understand formula ,and derivation behind it , get a good clarity , think of all possibilities how questions might be asked on this.Also you should know each and every element in the formula very well then and then only you would be able to apply it.

Also sometimes 2-3 concepts over 2-3 different chapters  are mixed and asked but the question is quite easy to crack by just applying formula, but for these you should know theory very well.

Try to do solved examples first, take out your own inferences, monitor how much you've  understood it, then practice practice and practice!!!!
