ISRO often picks up graduates and post graduates engineers from IIT s,NIT s and other reputed government and private institutions. So it is better to have a degree in a course that is more likely to be shortlisted for the consideration of such jobs like B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Radio Engineering and Engineering Physics. There is sometimes a requirement of electronic engineers and civil engineers as well. You must be already be there in the USA with a suitable work visa and with a good BS for getting a job at NASA.

THANK YOU.

Hi Sakshi, as much as I know there is no specific branch specified. You can do engineering from any branch. The only requirement is thst you must have a bachelor's degree. You have to score in BE/BTech or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 65%. You have to pass the examinations conducted by ISRO. +3 for correct answer and -1 for wrong answer. In totality there will be 80 questions. Final year students can also apply.

Hello,

You need to take up Aeronautical engineering or Aerspace engineering from top Colleges like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bomvay, IIST Thiruvanthapuram, IIST Pune.

Good knowledge of aircraft and missile  launching is mandatory for job opportunities at NASA and ISRO.

Students can also take up Mtech/ MS Course in Aerospace /Aeronautical engineering from top colleges.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Hello

I dont think there is any specific department as such, which is best for getting recruited into ISRO. All the departments are equally weighed and considered. But, according to me, a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering could be a good spotlight in helping you to have core knowledge and exposure even before taking up a career in ISRO.

All the best for your successful career.

I hope this helps.

Good luck..
