For CSE there are several things in which you have to pay attention for choosing a right laptop…

If You want to go with Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence then You have to buy a laptop with good graphics card.

Other stuffs like web development,android app development,and cybersecurity stuffs may be done on a descent laptop.

So my suggestion would be a laptop with following specifications:

• intel i5 7th gen processor atleast(Although you may also choose i5 8th gen or i7 6th or7th gen laptops for better performance).

•1 tb HDD(If you can afford SSD then go with 256 gb ssd along with 1tb HDD as it increases the speed of boot and app starting).

• NVIDIA GEFORCE 960MX Graphics Card atleast.

•64 bit Windows 10 Operating System.

•8 gb Ram( atleast.)

For a CSE student a laptop with 8th gen or higher gen processor is recommended which in your case you have and a minimum of 8gb is recommended which in almost all of the laptops these days can be upgraded to 16gb easily which is even better and an OS of windows 10 or 11 which in most of the laptops is preinstalled and a hardrive of almost 128gb SSD hence  your laptop is fine for a CSE student and almost all the works can be done with your laptop .
