You need a total score of 135+ marks out of 180 in the NMMS exam for a strong chance of selection in the general category merit list. Though the minimum qualifying mark is 72, the selection cutoff is much higher due to competition.

Hiya,

For NMMS in West Bengal, you need to score at least 40% in state state-level exam to qualify, as you are in the general category. Also, you must score a minimum of 55% in class 7 final exams and make sure your family's annual income is not more than 3,50,000.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello,

For NMMS in Birbhum (West Bengal) under General category, you need:

  • 55%+ in Class 7 to apply.

  • 40% qualifying marks in NMMS exam (MAT + SAT).

  • Family income should be below 3.5 lakh per year.

In past years, General category cut-off in Birbhum was around 120–125 marks, but it varies every year.

Hope you understand.
