I am a science student and I gave my Isc(12) exams this year. However I want to do an honours in English. What are my options? Thank you.

Nothing is ever late. Please follow your heart as you stand to shine better with something you like rather than something that is forced on you. English literature has many options. I would suggest to see HSEE - it is held by IIT Madras and is a five year programme - MA in Developmental Studies / English studies. Both these programmes are good but entry is tough.

You can also do a BA in English Literature and follow it up with an MA. That way you also can explore teaching, writing. Writing is vast - we have content writers for the web, writers who write text books, bloggers, and many more. Who says no lucrative jobs in this field? Like every field, this also has its advantages and disadvantages.

Check this university. It is exclusive for languages. The English & Foreign languages University also known as EFLU . It has a BA Hons in English and then MA in Literature and a host of such related fields.

Write back if you have more queries and I shall be glad to help.
