It depends but the basic eligibility criteria for B.Tech in Biotechnology requires a minimum intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, maths, biology and chemistry.
Now, If you want to do B.Tech from any engineering college then maths would be necessary because if you you to do B.tech in IITs then you will have to go through JEE in which maths in compulsory. But if you go with B.Sc in biotechnology then maths is not at all required.
