See if you are awarded the degree despite of having an absent in your practical examination, then as per records you have been a Graduate and you can use the degree to apply for different examinations or any other purpose. But in some cases there can be clause that a student applying must have passed all the subjects. So if this kind of clauses are applied for any purpose you are applying for then your application may get rejected. So if possible then you go for Supplementary examination.

Also for most of the universities if you have absent in a compulsory subject, then usually degrees aren't awarded. But if you have been awarded the degree so you have graduated. But if you wish to change that absent then you should apply for supplementary examination.
