Dear Srividya, most Master's courses would require you to have Psychology as a subject in your graduation. But starting from Undergraduation again doesn't serve the purpose as it is a long route. But there are few Open Universities which don't require Psychology as a subject in your accademics. You can pursue Psychology from such universities. And mere Master's in Psychology doesn't give you legal rights for counselling. Post that you need to have a M.Phil or Ph.D in Psychology. And then you have to register yourself with Rehabilitation Council of India. Only those registered professionals can render Counselling and therapy to patients.
