I am an EWS student but forgot to put it in my jee mains form.. so now can i get the benefit? (all four attempts gone) also from now i can apply it in advance or not i have not applied for it in mains... pls answer somebody

I am extremely sorry to say but now you cannot change your category from general to reserved one i. e EWS even in jee advanced 2021 application form and thus cannot can get EWS benefits.

Yes, you can appear in jee advanced as  a general category candidate provided you meet jee main 2021 qualifying cut off for general category.

jee advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-

--------) you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination. For this year i. e 2021 this percentage requirement in class 12th has been lifted off.

-------) You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2021 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2021 or 2020 .

--------) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2021,you should be born on or after 1st October 1996. There is 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD so candidates of SC/ST /PWD needs to be  born on or after October 1, 1991.

--------) you must qualify JEE main 2021 to be eligible for jee advanced 2021
