Hello !!

No , you can't because an NRI can only apply under NRI Category and not under General Category.

The Categories like General Category, EWS, OBC,SC,ST are confined to Indian Nationals appearing for IITs or any engineering entrance exam conducted under State or central government based on the constitutional rights.

Hope this will help you...

Dear student,

No, it is not possible for you to apply for general category in engineering college,

an NRI student needs to opt for NRI category itself all other categories be it general, OBC, SC, ST are applicable only for the students of Indian origin, so, being an NRI you should select NRI as your nationality.
