Generally for diploma students you dont need to apear for entrance exams for Engineering streams. They ar egiven admission laterally to direct second year engineeringased on aggregate marks in diploma. 

However you can choose to take top colleges based on exams like UKSEE and DCET which are for diploma students . 

You can be Junior engineer once you complete engineering degree from recognised University .
