I am constantly scoring very less percentile (below 50) in my AIMCATS even after giving all my efforts. Suggest what to do.

Analyze your Aimcats. Identify areas of strength and weakness. Try to see how the top scorers(your friends) around you approach the same questions. Discuss with them your approach and their approach and find the difference. Practice your weak areas more and you will be able to improve.

If you are constantly scoring less than 50 percentile then problem is with your basics, you need to strengthen your basics then only you can aim for high level questions and tackle to attempt questions with speed and accuracy.

One more thing is that you are not analysing your mock test without that you can never increase your percentile. After giving every test you need to check out the whole test solution which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile. It will also help you in knowing your strength and weakness which will help you in attempting easy questions first that will help you in reducing the chance of errors and missing an easy question and will also give you enough time to attempt medium level questions so this will lead you to improve speed and accuracy leading to increase in percentile.

By analysing means seeing whether the questions that were correct was done in the best way or there is some alternative solution which will help you in saving your time. Also see what mistake you did inn the wrong questions. Was it a step mistake or the whole approach is wrong. Also check out where you got stuck in the unattemped questions. Make sure you note down all these things so that you can attempt same type of problems in a better way.

All the best for your preparations and exams!!

You first need to thoroughly analyse your performance. That includes your total number of attempts, your accuracy etc. Further you should analyse which mistakes were made due to concepts and which were through silly mistakes. Analysing these will make you realise in which sections you are weak.

On analysing these you should thoroughly cover these topics in which you are not doing good. Revise the basic concepts and solve easy to difficult level of questions for those topics. Covering these, now start with chapterwise test and check your score. If that is good move ahead to sectional tests and analyse your performance there.

When you are sufficiently confident with these go for Mocks and try to give your best. But even at that time thoroughly analyse your performance and identify your strengths and weaknesses and make a strategy accordingly.

All the best!

Don't worry, happened with me too. Analyze your Aimcats well to understand your weak areas and practice on it. Also, look out for your strong areas tonimprove speed for it. Aimcats I feel are tougher than CAT exam, so its ok.
