Hey there!

If you fail your finals they allow you to sit for compartment examination. But if you have failed compartment exam you'll be eligible to appear for another compartment examination. But if you don't want to give another compartment exam you can repeat 12th standard as you might be a little anxious appearing for yet another examination.
