You can apply for short term courses/certification courses in mechanical stream so that you gain more knowledge and skills later helpful for your professionally and personally.

Courses can be done are:

Engineering: Mechanics, Materials, Design
Mathematical methods and fluids
Smart Structures

It also matters if you want to take up a sub category or topic in mechanical engineering you learnt and get specialized in it and accordingly do a course in it.
