Hello buddy, thanks for connecting career360. We hope we will solve your query in the best way.
It's depends on the difficulty level of exam and cutoff. According to previous year cutoff you have chance's to get lower branches at average NITS in the Spot round . But the cut-off vary every year and also support round not happen every year. So it's unpredictable.
But you have Very good chances to get Thapar University, Patiala if you are from Punjab. It one of the best engineering institute in india.it has Very good placements, ranking and infrastructure. You also have food chance's to get UIET, Chandigarh.
But if you are From OBC/SC category than you have More chance's to get NITs .
Best of luck for your future buddy.
It is quite difficult, if you belong to general category or OBC category, but if you are a SC or ST, then there is a chance to get low rank NITs, so if you are SC or ST, then you must participate in counselling may you get it.But, if you belong to general category, then you must try in BITS.
All the best
