To become a IAS (Indian Administrative Service) Officer a candidate must first obtain a Bachelor Degree.

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is the government agency responsible for selecting right candidates for the services.

Exam to be given is UPSC Civil Services Exam. The UPSC Civil Services Exam consists of three stages :-

  • Preliminary (objective) is conducted around June.
  • Mains (written) is conducted around September - October.
  • Interview (Those who are selected in Mains are eligible for interview.)  conducted during March - May period.
