From both competition point of view and boards point of view it is advisable to study using NCERT books. The clearer the concepts the better you will perform in both boards and competitive exams. Also it is better to practice and be fluent in the language and lyrics of NCERT by studying the whole book multiple times rather than solving Pradeep once completly. Also Pradeep is more boards friendly than competition friendly.
