Without applying for jee one can get admission in engineering colleges. There are other entrance exam also through which you can get admission in btech. Many institution , states and university conducts entrance test for admission. Many institution take admission on the basis of either  jee main or the other entrance exam.

There is big list of such exam like mh cet, set, cuet etc.
