I am not good in Engineering Mathematics. Did I skip that part in Gate Exam by preparing other subjects well?

Hello,

Engineering Mathematics holds  13 marks out of 100 in GATE exam so if you are willing to loose those 13 marks and are perfect with all other subjects then you can skip Engineering Mathematics. It won't be easy to solve all the remaining questions perfectly and to get best colleges for further studies and for jobs in PSUs you need to get a good score  at least 75+ marks so skipping topics is not what i will suggest. Try and solve many number questions so that you will have some confidence in maths and get a good score in GATE.

Hello there!

Hope you're having a great day.

It's not advisable to skip any subject as Mathematics alone comprises of 15-17 marks each year no matter which stream you prepare for. Well, if you are confident enough to get 100% out of all those subjects you study can give give you an edge then you can go for skipping maths but this is not the case in practical.

Hope this helps.

Thankyou
