If you are scoring around 486 marks in NEET 2024 and you are from Punjab then you have a good chance of getting a seat in a government veterinary college in the state. In Punjab the admission to veterinary courses like BVSc and AH is done through NEET and the counselling is usually managed by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Ludhiana.

For government veterinary seats in Punjab the cut off for general category is usually around 500 or a little more but it can vary each year based on the number of applicants and seat availability. If you belong to a reserved category like SC ST or OBC then your chances are even better with 486 marks.

You should apply through the state quota and keep checking the official website for counselling updates. Make sure you have all your documents ready and attend all the counselling rounds to improve your chances.

So overall with 486 marks you do have a fair chance of getting into a government veterinary college in Punjab especially if you are applying under the state quota.
