Practically, you spend maximum of 12 hours of a day for work, travelling and other activities. You must be giving minimum of 8 hours for ample sleep. So still you have 4 hours to involve yourself in CAT preparation. 3 to 4 hours a day for the coming 5 months is quite enough to crack the test.

I suggest you to opt for an online course to ease your preparation from home, you can refer to “ Handa Ka Funda ” which has really good patterned course to structure your preparation. It has excellent video tutorials and materials to quicken up your ability to solve CAT level questions. The best part of the course is the live coaching and doubt clarification classes on weekends. As they provide you materials in form of pdfs, it will be easy for you to access them from your office too in free time.

Spend your first month in strengthening your basics, second & third month on practicing questions of CAT level and fourth & fifth month in giving mock tests at least once every week. Mocks will be of use only if you analyze the paper post your exam. Find out the reason for leaving a question unanswered or answering it wrong. Make a note for every mock which will help you to revise and avoid the frequent mistakes at the final leg of your preparation.

You must spend 30 mins every day in the morning to read editorials in the newspaper which will help in apprehending the topics given in RC easily and keep yourself updated with the current topics. This will also help you in the later stages of getting into IIMs.

Hope the plan helps you to crack CAT.

Good Luck!
