It is very good to hear that you are concerned about your future from now itself and want to do hard work for the same. See the first and most important thing I would want to tell you that more than marks you should focus on skills because at the time of placement it is the skills which would give you placement above others and not the marks. Also it is important to maintain a healthy academic performance though so that you would be eligible for sitting in all the placement examinations. One of the most common mistake student do in college is not taking notes do it seriously as it is very helpful in examination and would fetch you some extra marks. Make a good circle of friends who are committed towards future and would guide you about various new things and skills that would be beneficial for you. Mentain a healthy relation with your seniors because they would guide you towards the correct path of achieving the goals and probably in Academic works also. Participate in all the context and hackathon organised by the college as it would make you aware of competitive environment. Focus on your core subjects more than others because these are the ones which would make your future.

At last I would want to tell you that not to take any pressure do it all with your heart. Instead of mugging things try to learn concepts and skills.
