I am totally confused with percentile score and normalized score.i have taken tancet mba exam.does both the score are same or do we need to calculate normalized score separately?if so we are not provided with section wise marks..what marks are considered ? please explain

Actual marks and normalized score are different. Actual marks are the marks which are allotted for each section according to each correct or incorrect answer. Also known as Raw Score. On the other hand, Normalized marks are the marks which are calculated based on actual score.

The formula how normalized score is calculated-

40 + (10/S) ( R– M)

Where S is Standard Deviation, R is Raw Marks (Total marks obtained from all the 3 sections) and M stands for Mean Marks (Total marks from all the sections divided by 3).

During counselling or admission, normalized marks are taken into consideration.
