Well brother, now you have make up your mind to drop an year to prepare for JEE advanced, So my sincere advice would be to join the batch at your preferred institute at earnest. 

Yes, now I believe their is no point on staying at your hometown and wasting your precious time. You would soon realize by observing the pace and good amount of Homework drop year students get by their coaching institute.

But again before making any firm step, I would advice you to rethink over the decision and whether you are menataly prepared to give an year to JEE.
