Hi Brijesh,If you given your jee mains exam in General Category you can give Jee advance in OBC category.You should but report the jee mains authority about it.

You can change the category in jee advance .Do report to them will submitting the form.

BUT AN ALTERNATIVE IS THAT YOU CAN WRITE TO THE CONCERNED AUTHORITY STATING SAME AND SEE FOR THEIR RESPONSE.

I would like to tell you that if you have given the JEE Mains, in general category then for the JEE Advance, you will have to apply with the general category only.

Because the category is specified in the application form, which is difficult to change.

sorry to say, you to keep your catogery same in both the exams.

even if you get away in both the exam without any problem, still you will face problem in future

for instance during document verification for taking admission in colleges! so i will suggest you to keep it same

you can't appear for JEE ADVANCED with a different category and if it was a mistake that you entered your category wrong , this can't be changed either.Correction can;t be done at this point .

For all the selection and allotment processes you will be considered as a general category applicant,

To apply as a OBC category candidate you need to register again and give JEE again in the month of april.
