If you had applied for JEE exam in January also and want to apply for JEE exam in April also the marks which would be taken into consideration would be the best marks (highest) out of both the JEE exams during the time of counseling at Thapar Institute.

With the announcement of two tests per year and better of the two scores along with a host of other changes by the National Testing Agency aka NTA,
the better of the two scores will be considered.

The better of the two scores will be used. So it means that if the score for JEE Main April is more than January or vice versa, it will be used. The lower score will be ignored.

Hey aspirant, as per the news issued by the NTA the best of the two scores will be considered while admission process in the colleges.

I would suggest if you have not been able to score the required or considerable percentile in January mains then try to improve it in April paper. This way you will be able to improve your chances of getting admission in your preferred college.
