Hi vartika,

Anyone can clear CAT exam with consistant And smart work. The CAT 2019 will held on 24th of November you have 6 whole months to complete your preparation. You just need to play your cards smartly. I will suggest you few things you can do in order to clear the exam. First thing you should do is check out the CAT pattern and syllabus. CAT have 3 section Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension(VARC), Data Interpretation And Logical Reasoning(DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude(QA). All 3 section cover 32-34 question with minimum 1 hour to solve each section.

Get the study material and start your preparation.

Second thing, you can make a time table and divide equal hours for each subject.

In order to improve your reading and vocabular read Hindu newspaper's editorial section everyday. For maths, you can start with brushing up your basics and the solving questions. Do same for DILR. Just practice MORE and do it everyday. Give regular mocks and analyse it. Work on your weakness. Solve previous year question papers. Start from tomorrow and do it with full dedication and consistancy. You will definitely clear the exam.

I wish you all the best. :)

Hello Vartika,

Greetings of the day..!!!

Yes, you would be able to clear CAT entrance test for MBA, irrespective of you being an average category student. You would be easily able to clear it with full hardwork, determination and dedication. For this, you need to study thoroughly from 6 months earlier. You can join coaching classes or can start studying from YouTube as even video learning would enable you to remember the concepts for a long period of time. In the last 1-1.5 months, start solving mock test papers which are avilable for free as well as paid on different websites. CAT has 100 questions for 300 minutes with negative marking. This implies that you need to solve each question in 1/3 minutes with maximum accuracy. It involves sections like Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude,  Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. After you are cleared with CAT Entrance Test, you would be needed to prepare for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. What are the measures one should take while preparing and facing GD/PI are available online on different websites.

Few of the websites that you could go through are:

Thank youBut the problem is i'm not at all familiar with quantitative aptitude and DILR more over my basis are unclear. Major problem is my basis are not clear and CAT sets a benchmark which requires atleast clear basis (so that anyone can focus at its difficulty level ) Thinking to take coaching. i'm just worried about if i wouldn't able to clear, cause CAT is not a cup of tea,  then all the time and money will go in vain

Hello Vartika,I can understand your worries about your unclear base of Quantatitative aptitude and DILR sections. For this specific reason, I suggested you to watch different YouTube videos on these concepts, as you would get a variety of explanations for a single question. If still you are in doubt, you can join coaching classes. It's not always tough to crack any exam if you know the logic of how to answer correctly in minimum time along with the preparation. Yes, CAT is not everyone's cup of tea, but this doesn't mean that time and money will go in vain. MBA explores you to an entirely different world of corporates, so you can pursue MBA from various other top level colleges besides IIMs. If you are thorough with your preparation, I don't think that it would be difficult for you to crack the exam. All the best..!!!

Hi Vartika, I have seen , everyone says that an intelligent students can crack the CAT. It is not possible for average student. But actually Hard work and Dedication are most important as like intelligence. Because even if you are average, by your dedication and hard work you can make yourself intelligence. So if you really put your efforts with dedication you can crack CAT. You have to study more by preparing proper timetable.

I hope it will help.

Thanks.
