I can apply in general category instead of obc category because right now I want fill university application form and I am not having my obc caste certificate.

Hi Parth,

Yes you can apply in general category .

But, If you have OBC Certificate you can definitely apply under OBC Category because it will helps you for reservation in  counselling process.

If possible, try to get your caste certificate from your nearest mandal MRO Office OR relevant Government office.

Once if you apply under general category you can't get chance to change it to OBC Category as it will be considered till final counselling.

Also it depends on which university.

Hello Parth,

Since you are not having your OBC certificate then you can apply through general category.

As in general category there is no need for any certificate to proof anything. Then you will be consider as in unreserved category.

You will no longer enjoy the benefits of reserved category.
