Remember that your College should cover up for the Gap years, Your college name should be enough for recruiters to believe that you are good.
So yes , A Brand name of college, Quality of Education, Placements, Projects work, Courses Syllabus, Everything is important for you.

Whatever you do , just Make sure you score well in Entrance exams and join only the best Level College.

the general eligibility for applyig for pgecet are as follows :

• candidate must be an indian
• must be resident of the respective state . should be satisfying non-local/local
• there is no upper age limit 
• should have a minimum of 40-50% in the qualifying examination.
