Dear applicant, most often your tc and Bonafide certificate is needed when you are subjected to verification process however if you fail to submit your documents on time they will give you time to resubmit your documents. If you have a strong reason of not submitting your documents, you can send a mail to the competent authority and they will guide you what steps you should follow later.
