There is no separate procedure to apply directly for round 2 in NIT admission process.

Candidates who don’t get admission in round 1 are called for round 2 only if there are vacant seats in any NIT. The process goes on till all the seats get filled. Totally 7 rounds of counselling will be held. In this process, one cannot directly apply for second round of counselling. One thing you can do is that you can participate in spot round if conducted in case of any vacant seats available.

No, you can not apply in round 2 directly. You had to start the counseling from round 1 itself. You can't do much now. However, you can participate in spot round, which is held after all the normal rounds of counseling are over. I would suggest you to keep checking JOSAA's website for further information.

sorry to say this but you cannot apply for round 2 counselling without attending 1st round.you should attend 1st counselling then freeze whatever the seat you got and proceed for round 2 counselling.
