Hi

Minority certificate is issued for people who belong to religious minor category, for example- Muslim, sikh, Christian, Parsi. These minorities vary from state to state.

Those candidates who belong to minority, are expected to submit minority certificate as a proof to get benefits.

You can apply and get the certificate from Tahsildar of the respective district which is the competent authority for minority certificate.

Some states do accept self declared minority form, but to be safe, you still have enough time to apply for certificate.
