Look, it depends upon the school some times they calculate overall marks combining first and second term and then decide that you are pass or failed in that subject.

And some will give preference to both first as well as second term , you had to qualified both of them. And most of the time they also give grace marks if you are failing with just a few marks then they will probably give you grace marks .

Or if you have scored very less marks then it will became pretty much difficult for you , and you have to repeat the 11th class.
