Hello, Directly, no. Pursuing a B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Biotechnology requires passing your 12th-grade exams with the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Maths (PCM) combination. Failing a core subject like Physics makes you ineligible for admission to almost all science universities, as this is a strict mandatory requirement. You must have a "Pass" status in all required science subjects to qualify for a biotech degree program.

Your best and most direct option is to immediately prepare for and pass your board's Compartment Exam (or "Improvement Exam") for Physics. Clearing this exam will update your marksheet to "Pass" and make you eligible to apply for biotechnology admissions in the next academic year. Without this, you would have to consider switching to a different stream, such as Commerce or Arts, which have different subject requirements for admission.

I hope you found this information helpful and for any study related queries you can ask in careers360 app, Have a great day!

Hello,

No, you can’t pursue Biotechnology if you have failed in Physics, as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are mandatory subjects for admission in Biotech courses.

You should reappear and clear Physics in the next attempt to become eligible. Alternatively, you can go for paramedical or life science diploma courses that don’t require Physics as a compulsory subject.

Hope you understand.
