Dear aspirant,

EWS certificate is issued to those whose annual income is less than 8 lakh per annum. If candidate has applied under GEN EWS then they will be given admission under 10% Quota.

In case candidate has applied under General UPGE this means that candidate have qualified examination from institute located in Uttar Pradesh and does not claim for any reserved category. They are eligible to apply for all courses under General open seats. And they do not require to furnish any certificate under this category.

This overall means that UPGE is equivalent to General category which is unreserved category. Whereas EWS is a reserved category.
