If they have kept the result on hold then most probably they wont take you until the seat goes vacant.The reason why result has been on hold because the college authority might be waiting for that only.

If the authorities have kept you on hold , it basically means you will be given the seat if any seat becomes vacant or there are empty seats after the reserved students are given their seats. So , the chances varies from institute to institute .
