Dear student,

Considering you a candidate of general category, it's difficult to get the mechanical stream in earlier rounds of counselling in the top institutions i.e. BIT Durg, and GECs but you must wait for the subsequent rounds of counselling.  Although as per my past experience I feel grabbing mechanical with that rank in GECs is quite difficult you may pursue other branches such as electrical, computer science, etc. but let's hope for the best. 

If you are determined to join mechanical stream you can try out the other private engineering institutions of Chhattisgarh.
